Year 10 pupils went to the centre for life in Newcastle to view the robot exhibition.
Group M's assembly today was about Empathy
Pupils have been very busy this week, tidy the school grounds and preparing it for new plants.
Year 7 Pupils have been working very hard in Computing They have all used the Rapsberry Pis and Sensehats to practice the programming language python.
Pupils have been busy with Mr Clifton on a Wednesday evening building and coding Lego sets.
Year 11 Pupils visited Liebherr Cranes to view the factory and learn about potential apprentiship opportunities.
14 pupils walked along Balderhead Dam and then around Blackton Reservoir for Sport Relief. Pupils visited Hannah Hauxwell's house and Hannah's Meadow on the Pennine Way. Thank you Shaine for the amazing pictures.
Pupils from Year 11 have been working hard on there GCSE photography portfolios.
8B have being researching caring for animals and animal cruelty.
Pupils from 9a and M have had the opportunity to complete a Bushcraft taster session. Pupils learnt basic survival skills which included fire building, fire lighting and boiling water.
Once a week Year 10 pupils participate in an outdoor activity (usually Skiing or Climbing). This is 10A at Silksworth Ski Slope in Sunderland.
8A have being researching the impact humans have on the Earth. As a school we waste a lot of resources (particularly paper) 8A identified this and have suggested ways we could waste less and protect the planet.
Pupils in year 10 have been working very hard on their BTEC Sport assignments. We have included examples of Unit 12 assignment 1 - Components of Fitness and and Unit 12 assignment 2 Fitness Tests.
This week Year 7 pupils have been learning about online safety. The work shown is currently work in progress. The completed leaflets will be displayed in the ICT Classroom.
