All pupils who attend Elemore Hall must have an Education, Health and Care Plan. Very occasionally the school will admit a pupil for an assessment placement whilst the local authority considers whether an EHCP should be constructed. Invariably a pupil placed at the school for a period of assessment will remain at the school once an EHCP has been issued.

EHCPs are reviewed annually (or sooner if appropriate).

The initial EHCP is constructed by the local authority from information provided from a number of sources. The annual review serves to report on progress made on the objectives contained within the EHCP and recommends future objectives and the provision required to meet the objectives. A designated officer of the Local Authority is responsible for finalising all EHCPs.

Copies of the Draft, then Final EHCP are sent to the school and to Parents/Carers.
