Table Tennis Tournament
Friday 14th December was the annual table tennis tournament at Elemore Hall. The competition consisted of a key stage 3 competition and a key stage 4 competition. Both competitions were played as a round robin format with each player playing each other. All games were played in the correct spirit and some pupils were able to help score games for the others. Once both key stage winners had been decided, the Key stage 3 winner played against the Key stage 4 winner to find the overall winner of the tournament. Scott Horseman was the overall winner after a closely contested final! It was a fantastic day and well done to everyone who took part!
North East Ambulance Service Workshop
A small group of pupils from 9A attended a workshop held at the school by North East Ambulance Service volunteers. The pupils had access to an Ambulance vehicle and were taught what all the different pieces of machinery were used for. They also listened well to the volunteers discussing their job roles, how they got into this type of job, and what the highlights and difficulties were. It was a very informative workshop and the pupils were very engaged – well done!
