As a school we are involved in a number of charity events throughout the year. Doing something to help others is beneficial for our own personal and social development and our sense of well-being.
In September we always host a Macmillan Coffee Morning. A group of pupils help make the cakes and serve these and drinks to other pupils, staff and visitors. The cakes are often unusual and interesting and are a good time for pupils to show off their baking skills.
In November we usually have an event to raise money for Children in Need.

In Autumn 2018 we decided that it would be a great idea to back a charity where we had a clear idea of exactly how our fundraising was being spent. After some research and careful consideration we chose Toilet Twinning. By donating £60 to twin a toilet, we can help fund a project in a less fortunate region somewhere in the world that will enable families or communities to build a basic toilet, have access to clean water and learn about hygiene – a vital combination that saves lives. This project in school is coordinated by a chosen classgroup as part of their Culture programme.
