Pupil Admission

We know that quite often our prospective pupils have had a turbulent or difficult time in their previous schools and we want to ensure that any move to Elemore is as positive as possible right from the start. We believe that a visit to our school is an essential first step in deciding whether this is the right place for a pupil to receive their education and with this in mind we welcome visits from prospective pupils and their parents/carers. These can be arranged by contacting the school either by phone on 01913720275 and speaking to our Transitions Cooordinator, Michael Forster, or by emailing the school at elemore@durhamlearning.net.

We only accept pupils who have been referred to the school by SEN Casework at Durham County Council. Pupils must have, or be in the process of getting, an Education Care and Health Plan (EHCP) that identifies Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties as the primary Special Need.

More details about our Admission arrangements can be found in the Admissions and Leaving Procedures document

Prospective Parents/Carers should also contact Durham County Council SEN Casework on 03000 265878

Help and advice can be found by contacting the  Special Educational Needs Advisory and Support Service (Durham) on 0191 5873541 or 03000 267007 or use this link
